Jaldhara Puja ceremony is one of the interesting festivals of our village. In this Festival we pray to the God SunSari and Randevi. When raining season is starting in Baisakh (April-May) month we pray the both of these local goddess for wishing to rain.
The month of Ashar (June-July) grips a great significance for every Nepali as it is the time of the year when farmers plant new seedlings of rice crops in their paddies wishing to grow quintals of rice from kilos. But if there will no rain-fall all farmers get a big problem.
So that, they worship for the better crops of the monsoon.
In the rainy season, there will be several landslides, so they started to worship nature for their safety and the improvement in the seasonal crops also.
Jaldhara Puja is worshipping Mother Nature and we believe in nature religion that worshipping the deities. But the worry of these days the traditional way of celebrating Jaldhara festival is gradually disappearing.
On this day all villagers cook outside and eat outside in wild areas. Jaldhara (Worshipping nature), commune lifestyle, and respecting the elders are the major features of the festival.
